Sandra Enterline creates jewelry based on her fascination with fragility, preciousness and the mystery of half-visible objects glimmering beyond a hundred tiny perforations. She makes strong, simple sculptural objects that over time reveal what the wearer fails to see at first – a deeper layering and complexity that animates each piece with tension that lies between the erotic and the mechanical.
She understands the subtlety of form and its relationship to a woman’s figure. Her necklaces hang low in a way that encourages the observer to see that it belongs on the body.
