Founded in 2004, Tamsen Z is the creative “child” of Ann Ziff.

Masterfully, Ziff combines exceptional skill with innovative craftsmanship to compose work that’s truly meaningful and continuously stirs the soul. Her mixture of precious materials paired with a distinct eye for curation offers an array of elegance as she explores sculpted assemblages. Tamsen Z captures the exquisite beauty of gemstones in handcrafted pieces that are truly one of a kind.

Quality and design gracefully collide amidst Ziff’s passion for creating refined and supple works of art. Each treasure is made explicitly with the wearer in mind, evident in every detail. The artist’s juxtaposition of creativity with her clear affinity for rare gemstones has made her jewelry a timeless symbol of wearable art.

Gravitating towards exaggerated form & scale.

Ann Ziff’s artistry lies in the mixing of vibrant color, soft texture and rich metals: rings in fire opal and crystal quartz cradled in a golden form, pink tourmaline surrounded by sparkling diamonds, radiant aquamarine and luminous crystal and pyrite all held in a white gold silhouette. In the light, each stone bursts with color and gleam, coupled with a perfect mold to the finger of its wearer.

Amongst more of her treasures, Ziff utilizes her masterful shaping of 18K and 22K yellow gold beads to sculpt delicate statement necklaces that gracefully fall from the neck. In varied shape and color, the artist composes a medley of materials into glamorous dispositions. Palm wood beads unite with golden discs, while unique textured orbs of gold bring absolute simplicity. Cascading high karat gold woven bibs echo back to the Egyptian age. Beading each necklace by hand, Ziff brings another level of artistry to each piece. Ancient, handcrafted faceted beads from India, made in high karat gold, create a balance between antiquity and modernity. All necklaces are held together with a dynamic golden Tamsen Z stamped clasp.

Earrings in proportion and balance are astutely crafted across the collection.

Beads in high karat gold hang gently on the lobe while what lies beneath is dynamic gold with diamond briolettes and ancient beads. The curiosity of shape and form may take one to a primeval time where similar designs could have adorned an empress.
