18K yellow gold, palladium, diamonds
An extraordinary ring from Enric Majoral's Bosc Collection.
From the words of the artist:
A fox toils nimbly between Pyrenean valleys
The rain falls on the mist just before daylight
On the moss and wet earth, the fox rummages in leaves
The creature looks for fungi in this autumn forest
Imagining a scene, immersed in an atmosphere left awash after a heavy rainfall, Majoral captures the moment by composing its measures in an opulent expression of adornment. Sculpting a ring in high karat gold, the artist skillfully creates a hollow form for the head of the ring. Behind its frame, one can observe as the maker has carved out leaf-like pieces so that its center is elegantly exposed. Atop the head of the piece, Majoral imbues its surface with speckles of charred palladium, through this freckled mass delightfully ascends the gleaming gold in contrasting glee, and within this medley emerges the twinkling of bright diamonds from its dimpled core. A fine fit upon the finger, the artist knowingly creates a slender band, comfortably positioned to admire the statement on the hand.
