Painted pine with heart, bell, and a key inside, 2024

The Torre Corazón is a poignant and visually striking sculpture that encapsulates the themes of love, devotion, and sacred connection. Crafted from painted pine, this tower is a symbolic tribute to Saint Valentine, the patron saint of love, whose legacy is immortalized through a delicate interplay of form, color, and hidden meaning. At the very top of the Torre Corazón, a delicate bell hangs within an arched opening. The bell is not only a visual focal point but also a symbolic one, evoking the call of Saint Valentine’s spirit, as though it were meant to sound a blessing over those who enter into love or seek its protection.

Inside the tower, through its doors, is a small key. The key is a deeply symbolic element within the sculpture. It represents access to the heart—both the literal and figurative unlocking of love and the invitation to enter the sacred, personal spaces of the heart.
