Two touchstones , gold inlaid in shakudo and sterling silver
Pin: Steel & 14K yellow gold
Circa 1995
For Adell, touchstones were the mainstay of her work and she instilled each one with meaning. Meant to resemble precious pebbles and rocks, Adell made each stone by hand, comprised of two sheets of metal using several techniques of marrying shakudo with gold to make poetic pebbles that grace this brooch and every piece in our Contemporary Estate collection.
