18K yellow gold, 14K white gold, shakudo inlaid in 18K gold
Circa 1989
Adell made individual touchstones that allowed her collectors to wear them in multiple ways, and this ring, which can also be worn also as a pendant, is a prime example.
Her touchstones are poetic expressions, meant to resemble precious pebbles and rocks. Made entirely by hand, each touchstone is comprised of two sheets of metal using several techniques of marrying shakudo with gold to make wearable statements that grace this and every piece in our Contemporary Estate collection.
As shown with: Medium Fern Earrings, and Lariat Freshwater Pearl Necklace with Touchstones.
