Painting, collage and graphite on board
Mesmerized by the expansive complexities of our defined existence, Maude Andrade seeks to conceptualize the vastness of space and time. Exploring its measures under the "skin" of graphite, Andrade skillfully illustrates with the use of ellipses, gathering continuity and endlessness within the parameters of her canvas. Between Now #12 elucidates a fixture of shapely form amidst the lucid, hypnotizing movement of an aquatic nature, perhaps due to the deep blues attuned to the light textures and faint shades in umber upon its surface. Slowly, transfixion manifests out of tranquility.
